Where each thing lives
The site ships with no placeholder content. A section you haven’t filled in
renders a deliberate empty state rather than fake sample data — so nothing
embarrassing is ever one wrong click from being public.
Announcements
Posts move through three stages, and the stage controls who can see them.1
Draft
Written but invisible. Edit freely.
2
Scheduled
Queued with a date. It publishes itself when the time comes.
3
Published
Live on the site.
Delivery is tracked per post, so nothing ever goes out twice — even if the bot
restarts mid-send.
Media
- Linked
- Local upload
Paste a link from YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Streamable, or
Medal and the page embeds it properly. This is the normal case — the file
stays where it already lives.
The alert banner
/admin/settings carries a site-wide banner for the things that can’t wait for
an announcement — a delayed event, a server issue, a registration deadline. It
sits above everything on every page, so turn it off once it’s stale.
Backups
All of it — content, uploads, transcripts — lives in one directory on the
server. Back that up and you’ve backed up the entire site. The code repository
contains none of your content.
