# Who can do what

> Nine roles, resolved from Discord at login — plus division-scoped roster access.

Nine roles, resolved from your Discord roles when you log in.

| Role                           | Reach                                                                                         |
| ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Founder · Owner | Everything, including destructive actions. |
| Admin · Manager                | Org-wide content, events, and rosters.                                                        |
| Lead | Full control of **their own division** — rosters, tryouts, lineups — without org-wide access. |
| Media | Media, spotlight, and announcements. |
| Competitive · Tournament staff | Their own area. |
| Viewer                         | Read-only. Anyone in the server who isn't mapped.                                             |

<Warning>
  Your role is worked out **at login**. After a Discord role change, sign out and
  back in before wondering why the dashboard hasn't caught up.
</Warning>

## Division-scoped roster access

Roster permissions work differently from the rest: they're scoped to a division.

<Check>
  Naming someone the lead of a division gives them everything they need to run it
  — moves, benches, tryouts, lineups — and nothing outside it.

  You don't have to promote a lead to Admin just so they can bench a player.
</Check>

Set the lead on `/admin/roster`, or with `/roster config`.

## Logging in

Login requires membership in the DMT Discord. Anyone in the server can sign in;
people whose Discord roles don't map to a staff role land on **Viewer** and see
a read-only dashboard.

## Everything is on the record

<Info>
  Every change from either surface is written to the audit log with who, what,
  when, and from where. It's at `/admin/audit`, and it's **append-only** — nobody
  can quietly tidy up after themselves, including the people who built it.
</Info>
